The LC Island Home is a project created for the Aftermath metaverse called the "Playground." Apart from remodelling the house, the project also consisted of creating furniture, from existing SketchUp models, to accompany the house.
The exterior of the home is a modern brutalist style using a minimal colour palette. Contrast is shown through various textures throughout the exterior. Straight and clean lines are utilized to create a modern vibe.
This home is a total of two storeys with an open layout to let sunlight in. Upon entering the house, you are greeted with a vestibule that leads straight to an L-shaped kitchen with lots of seating areas. The dining table is located to the right with sliding doors leading to a roofed outdoor area. The left side of the house consists of the living room, bathroom, and a pool with a view of the living space.
The second floor is dedicated to lounging and relaxation. There is a second living room as well as extra seating for the reading corner. Half of the second floor is dedicated to the master and only bedroom of the house. The master bedroom comes with an ensuite and a walk-in closet. The extra space to the right of the closet is open for expansion or can be used as an outdoor lounge.
